“Kristin Eliot is simply the best!  We let go of our worry when we hand her our work."

Pohlman & Knowles

Sabrina Knowles and Jenny Pohlman celebrated over 25 years of collaboration with a comprehensive exhibition at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. As seekers, they have undertaken six international two-month journeys absorbing religious beliefs, political histories, current affairs, architecture, social structure and people’s personal stories. After lengthy incubation they morph their experiences into sculptural stories to share what they have learned about healing, self-empowerment, compassion, strength, grace, and the power of the human spirit through assemblages of sculpted glass and fabricated steel.

"Creation is a continual and evolutionary process, constantly digesting and reevaluating past experiences and current perspectives. My work has always been deliberately enigmatic and mysterious. I constantly strive to generate a strange and curious quality that both tantalizes and challenges the viewer to develop his own response system. The work must have an existence of its own if it is to have any real significance."

"Kristin is one of the finest and most meticulous coldworkers that I have had the privilege to work with."

The George R. Stroemple Collection is internationally recognized as one of the most significant collections of artwork documenting the studio glass movement in the Pacific Northwest. With holdings by such luminaries as Dale Chihuly, William Morris, Lino Tagliapietra, and Joey Kirkpatrick and Flora Mace, The Stroemple Collection illustrates both the early nascence and mature culmination of contemporary glass art making.

"Kristin always gets us exactly what we need, and gets us there on time and on budget."

"Kristin is a kickass cold worker!"

The Haas Brothers are American artists, noted for their sculptural works that blur the line between art and design.Their first collaborative project together was in 2009 when they created bespoke furniture for Tobey Maguire.[3] This project led to other commissions for high-profile clients including Lady Gaga, Donatella Versace, and Peter Marino, which allowed them to formally open their studio in Los Angeles in 2010.

"Kristin's skills are second to none, and I don’t hesitate to call her up and drop off my latest works. And- she is pretty fun to hang with too, just sayin’…”

"Kristin’s ability to understand my work and my standards makes her essential to my studio practice."

A chance peek into the hot glass studio changed the trajectory of Nancy Callan's life; she was entranced by the fluid, glowing material and the demanding choreography of working at the furnace. In 1996 she relocated to Seattle, WA to join maestro Lino Tagliapietra’s glassblowing team, rising to a key position as his assistant and traveling internationally to teach and demonstrate the craft. She continues to blaze a trail as an LGBTQ woman, helping to inspire, teach and mentor the next generation of diverse artists in glass.
